I fell into a HITZone around the corner from the commercial gym that I was working in, and actually saw what fitness means to these people that are getting missed out from the big gyms. The second I fell into HITZone I knew I was going to have my own HITZone studio. I knew that I wanted to be the one making an impact on these peoples’ lives.
We can help people turn their lives around. Not only with their fitness and their health, but with their confidence and their self-belief. That is the best thing for me that I can take away from being a HITZone owner, that I can help people with that.
My husband and I are first time business owners—so no previous experience at all with the business side of things! But we were eager to help other people like myself feel confident and happy whilst getting fit, and we wanted them to have fun! We have done a lot of learning on the job and fortunately there has been a lot of guidance from HITZone head office and the other HITZone studio owners. It very much has a family feel to it which we love :-) Our HITZone studio will be 3 at the end of January next year and there is are so many highlights and happy memories—it really is heart-warming to wake up every day and feel like you have a purpose!
It doesn’t feel like a job, it just feels like a way of life really. A way to help people, and make a difference on a daily basis to the people who need it the most and do something meaningful with my life as well.
The thing that was really different about HITZone for me was how inclusive it was. I came to see some sessions and was like a family. I just loved the fact that it made it easy for people to exercise and easy for people to get fit.
There has not been one single morning that I’ve not wanted to get out of bed, and get to HITZone, and transform lives.
