International Franchise Association
The International Franchise Association is a trade association of franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers. The IFA is the world’s oldest and largest franchising organization. As a membership organisation, the IFA promotes good franchising practices and supports the development of the franchise industry by organising events and publishing resources.
Based in Washington D.C., the IFA is celebrating 57 years of franchise advocacy in 2018. IFA members range from franchisors and franchisees to law, marketing, and business development companies that support the franchise industry. Members represent over 300 different business categories.
What is the IFA Convention?
Every year, the International Franchise Association holds an annual convention for franchisors and franchise industry professionals, highlighting the positive message of franchising and unifying the franchise community.

The 2018 IFA Convention takes place February 10 through 13 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ, with some evening events and committee events taking place the Sheraton Grand Phoenix Hotel.
At this year’s convention, attendees will experience several dynamic keynote speakers, over 50 educational sessions and seminars, and an exhibit hall with more than 350 franchise industry professionals.
