If you are looking to own a successful business franchise in partnership with a brand that is experiencing significant growth and have a passion for serving high quality food in an upbeat friendly environment, then Fatburger may be the choice for you.
Own Your Own Fatburger Canada Franchise
Fatburger Canada opened its first location in Vancouver BC in 2005. Since the beginning, it has been Canadian owned and operated, and has opened 70 locations all over the country, from BC to Ontario, building a cult following of burger fans.
Renowned for its premium burgers, the brand sets itself apart by quality - using only fresh, never frozen Alberta beef that is hormone, filler and binder free, and only cooking them to order to keep the burgers fresh and distinct. Additionally, quality, locally source products such as the buns, chicken, ice-cream, and produce are used to elevate the meal experience for the customers. The menu also provides extensive options such as chicken sandwiches, wings, boneless wings and tenders, home-style onion rings and milkshakes made with real premium ice-cream and toppings.
A typical Fatburger unit is a 1,500 to 2,000 sq ft high-profile end cap unit in major retail centers. These units have a seating capacity of about 50 to 60.

Fatburger's Three Minute Move - Finding a New Home in St. Albert
Fatburger fans in St Albert, your favourite burgers haven’t gone far – they’ve just found a swankier address. The much-loved burger joint has moved from McKenny Corner to 11 Bellerose Dr in the Inglewood Towne Centre, where it is now the newest neighbour of Safeway, RBC Bank, and Famoso Pronto Pizzeria.
Behind this strategic three-minute migration is restaurant maven Vikas Patial, who’s pulled off the culinary equivalent of a hat trick. Already a proud owner/operator of a successful Ricky’s and recently, Famoso Pronto Pizzeria, Patial has added Fatburger to his menu of business, proving that good things come in threes.
“Some people collect stamps – Vikas collects restaurants,” quips Raymond Ho, VP, Marketing at FDF Brandz. “But seriously, having a franchisee embrace all three of our brands shows the kind of opportunities we offer. Importantly, now St. Albert residents can get back to taking care of their burger fix at an even more convenient location.”
Patial, with 15 years of restaurant experience under his belt, see it as a natural progression. “Running multiple restaurants is like conducting an orchestra – each band plays its own tune but together, they create something special,” he says. “I’m excited I get to continue with Fatburger’s greatest hits at an even better venue.”
Fatburger in St. Albert remains committed to quality, serving up their signature big and juicy Fatburgers made with fresh, never frozen, Alberta beef that is hand-pressed and cooked to order on the grill, done the traditional way.
Beyond their famous Original Fatburger, the menu also showcases specialty burgers along with other crowd favourites including juicy fried chicken sandwiches, World Famous Buffalo’s wings and hand-battered chicken tenders, accompanied by “Best Anywhere” Milkshakes fries and freshly prepared onion rings.
